First of all, thank you so much for posting these tutorials. I really enjoy the way you teach. Without them I would be really lost on blender.
My problem is something weird happened when I uploaded the sculpt. I started with a torus in blender and just pinched off two loops and tucked the ends back to start making a sort of captured bead ring without the bead. I figured this would be simple enough but this is what I got in world...

Did you check "use lossless compression" when you uploaded the sculpt map?

Weird. I tried it again, just to make sure and the upload menu came up, lossless compression checked by default and uploaded it. It turned out fine this time? I may have accidentally unchecked it and not realized it.
The only other question I have is how do some people get their sculpties so small? I can only shrink my so tiny in world. I went as small as I needed it in blender.

Edit: Ok, I looked this up and people are saying I can overlay 50% grey on top of the sculpt maps and it will shrink the sculpt? I can use that method but I was hoping for a method that wouldn't skew the sculpt within the constraints box. I'm going to go try it.
Yeah. The only way to get sculpties smaller than the default .010 meters is by using the shrink method. It ain't always pretty, but I'm pretty sure any sculptor worth her salt has had to do it.

Then I will use it. When working with multiple sculpties in blender and using the LSL method of assembling them in world using primstar, how do you go about knowing which ones need to be shrunk? I'm going to guess that its all trial and error.
(I keep thinking of things. Sorry. Last question for this thread, I swear! <3)

Usually I'll just shrink anything that's very small. Especially for clothing creation. People like to be able to resize their clothes, so for me it's good practice to keep things at least as large as 0.15 anyway.
Also, if you shrink the sculpt using the bake dialog instead of a paint program, the LSL exporter will be able to tell and will resize the sculpt to match.
