Mirror Modifier

If you sculpt that has symmetrical halves, you can cut down on some of the work by using a mirror modifier.

Select all the vertices of one half of your sculpt (excluding the points in the very center) and delete them. Then, in the Editing Buttons, find the Modifiers tab and add a Mirror modification.

Then, find which axis you need to mirror on. If it's side-to-side, it's probably X. Top-to-bottom will be Z. Also, for side-to-side mirroring, you will need to mirror the U mapping. For top-to-bottom mirroring, you'll need to mirror the V mapping. (Click on the image above to enlarge)

Now you can go through and place the vertices on the one half of your sculpt. Once you have that done, hit "apply" on the mirror modifier to creat the other half of your sculpt.

Double-check that the sculpt's dimensions are still 2.55 units cubed. Now snap your vertices to the grid, then export. the sculpt map.
